The Artist
Finding Absolution in what I love to do.

Jean Carlo is an artist creating from the everyday. Influenced by Graffiti at an early age, he took in Los Angeles with open eyes. Growing up in and out of the city, he absorbed the colors, the sounds, and the culture. His art started and still remains a reflection of the city breathing.

He was not exposed to Fine Art until high school. Visiting his first museum, Jean Carlo finally connected the images from his textbooks to a tangible canvas. He found a great resonance with the skill and talent of the Masters.

Jean Carlo’s work gives a personal look of living in city of Lost Angels. Engaging in his Latin American roots, inner city lifestyle, and graffiti influence. He paints unapologetic images of raw moments in everyday life. Combining Stark messages and motifs with bright and vibrant colors.
